"Organic solar cells" utilize inexpensive materials and have an easy manufacturing process, which is expected to significantly reduce costs compared to silicon solar cells, making them the next generation of solar cells. There are two strong candidates: "dye-sensitized solar cells" and "organic thin-film solar cells," both of which are being promoted by the NARD Institute. "Organic thin-film solar cells" use organic semiconductors such as fullerene and phthalocyanine, and high purity of the compounds is required. Our company conducts the synthesis and purification of dyes based on our extensive knowledge and experience in organic synthesis, and we can also propose synthetic routes for newly designed materials for solar cells.
